Society and Sports Employability Competition Winners 2014!

It is our pleasure to announce the UoN Taekwondo club as the winner of the Societies and Sports Employability Competition! We’ve won £1000 to put to developing our member’s coaching skills in a exciting new project.

Here’s what our president Adam had to say about winning the £1000 prize:

The Societies and Sport Employability competition run by the Students’ Union and the University Careers and Employability Service was a great opportunity to win enough money to finally get our idea off the ground. We were thrilled to have won the competition and pleased that our idea was recognised as one worth investing in. The prize money is already having a huge impact and we’re looking to send some students to their very first Instructor’s course this February!

Thank you to all involved for making our idea a reality. Hopefully through this project we’ll find our next generation of coaches and instructors!”

Congratulations to everyone! This is an amazing accomplishment and another step towards making us UoN’s No.1 martial arts club!
